The engagement drive aims to fill 28,636 posts of Gramin Dak Sevak, Branch Postmaster and Assistant Branch Postmaster. Selection is based solely on Class 10 marks, and shortlisted candidates will proceed directly to document verification.
Circle-wise list and vacancy distribution
The merit list will be issued separately for all 23 postal circles. Each PDF will include candidate details such as registration number, name, marks percentage, category, gender, division, post and document verification date.
Among the larger vacancy allocations are Maharashtra (3,553), Uttar Pradesh (3,169), West Bengal (2,963), Madhya Pradesh (2,102) and Tamil Nadu (2,009). Smaller allocations include Delhi (38), Punjab (261), Jammu and Kashmir (267) and Haryana (270).

Cut-off expectations and next steps
The first merit list cut-off is expected to fall between 85% and 95% for the General category, based on recent trends. For other categories, the estimated range is 80%–90% for OBC, 80%–88% for SC, 79%–85% for ST, 75%–83% for EWS and 65%–80% for PwBD.
Shortlisted candidates must attend document verification at the designated Divisional Head office with original certificates and photocopies. Required documents include Class 10 academic records, proof of age, identity proof, category or EWS certificate where applicable, photographs and application details.
Following successful verification, a provisional engagement letter will be issued. Final appointment will be confirmed after completion of formalities and medical fitness clearance. Additional merit lists may be released if vacancies remain after the initial round.
