India Post GDS result 2026 released: Direct link to download state-wise merit list for 28,636 posts here
India Post GDS result 2026: The India Post has released the India Post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) result 2026 in the form of a state-wise merit list. Candidates who registered for the recruitment can now check their results on the official website.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 28,636 Gramin Dak Sevak posts across the country. The merit list has been released in PDF format for each postal circle and state, and candidates can download it online.
This recruitment process received a large number of applications because the minimum eligibility requirement was Class 10 (Secondary School Examination) and the number of vacancies was high.
Candidates can download the merit list by visiting the official website, which is indiapost.gov.in.
On the homepage, go to the “Candidate Corner” section and click on the “List of Shortlisted Candidates” link. Then select the state or postal circle for which the result has been released. The merit list will open as a PDF file, which candidates should download and save for future reference.

The state-wise merit list includes several details related to the shortlisted candidates. These include Division Office, Post ID, Post Name, Post Community, Registration Number, and Percentage of marks.
The selection process for GDS recruitment is fully merit-based and automated. It is prepared using the marks obtained by candidates in the Class 10 examination.
Because the eligibility requirement for the recruitment drive was limited to Class 10 qualification and the number of vacancies was high, the recruitment attracted large participation from candidates across the country.
Only one registration per candidate is considered valid during the selection process.
Candidates whose names appear in the merit list must complete the document verification process at the Divisional Office of the division to which they have been selected.
The verification must be completed on or before March 23, 2026.
Candidates must report with original documents along with two sets of photocopies. The required documents include Class 10 marksheet, Identity proof, Caste certificate (if applicable), and Residence certificate.
After document verification, candidates will undergo a medical examination, following which the final appointment letter will be issued.Ready to navigate global policies? Secure your overseas future. Get expert guidance now!
