Indian Army SSC Tech recruitment 2026: The Indian Army will close the online registration window for Short Service Commission (Technical) - 67th Course (Men) today, February 5, 2026. Eligible candidates who have not yet applied must complete the application process today through the official website, joinindianarmy.nic.in, before 3 PM.
This recruitment drive aims to fill 350 technical officer posts across various engineering streams. The course is scheduled to begin in October 2026.
The recruitment is open to unmarried male engineering graduates and candidates who are currently studying in the final year of an engineering degree.

Who can apply
- Age limit: Candidates must be between 20 and 27 years as on October 1, 2026. (born between October 1, 1999 and September 30, 2006, both dates included)
- Educational qualification: Applicants must have completed or be pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree in notified engineering streams from a recognised university or institute.
Total vacancies
A total of 350 vacancies are available. These include posts across major engineering disciplines such as:
- Civil Engineering: 75 posts
- Computer Science and related streams: 60 posts
- Electrical Engineering: 33 posts
- Electronics and Communication Engineering: 64 posts
- Mechanical Engineering: 101 posts
- Other engineering streams: 17 posts
The Indian Army has clarified that the number of vacancies may change depending on organisational requirements.
Selection process
The selection process will be carried out in the following stages:
- Shortlisting of applications based on engineering stream-wise cut-off marks
- Services Selection Board interview, conducted in two stages
- Medical examination for recommended candidates
- Final merit list based on performance and availability of vacancies
Candidates shortlisted for the interview will be informed through email and Short Message Service.
Training and pay
Selected candidates will undergo training at the Pre-Commissioning Training Academy, followed by commissioning as Lieutenant.
- Training duration: 49 weeks
- Monthly stipend during training: ₹56,100
- Approximate annual salary after commissioning: ₹17 to ₹18 lakh, including allowances
