Indian Navy recruitment 2026: The recruitment window for Indian Navy's Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer will close today, February 24, 2026. Candidates who are interested and have not yet applied for the examination can visit the official website, joinindiannavy.gov.in. The recruitment process is intended to fill 260 vacancies in the Executive, Technical, and Education branches. Candidates should note that there is no application fee prescribed by the Commission.
The largest number of vacancies is in the Executive branch.
The Navy has made it clear that applications outside the prescribed age bracket will not be considered.
For most Executive roles, applicants must hold a BE or B.Tech degree with a minimum of 60 per cent marks. For aviation-related posts, ATC, NAOO, and SSC Pilot, candidates must additionally have secured 60 per cent marks in both Class 10 and Class 12, including English.
SSC Logistics applicants may apply with qualifications including BE/B.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Sc (IT), B.Sc, B.Com, or B.Sc (IT) with a postgraduate diploma in Finance, subject to prescribed first-class criteria.
Technical branch aspirants must possess BE/B.Tech degrees in specified engineering streams with at least 60 per cent marks.
For the Education branch, M.Sc or B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech degrees in relevant disciplines are mandatory.
