JEE Advanced 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2026 question papers on the official website, which is jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates who appeared for the engineering entrance examination can now download the question papers for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 without using any login credentials.

The JEE Advanced 2026 examination was conducted on May 17 in two shifts. Paper 1 was held from 9 am to 12 noon, while Paper 2 took place from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm across examination centres.
According to students and subject experts, Paper 1 of JEE Advanced 2026 was moderate to highly difficult. Mathematics was considered the toughest and lengthiest section, while Physics tested students’ conceptual understanding extensively. Chemistry, though comparatively balanced, was described as tricky and challenging.
Paper 2 was also reported to be highly conceptual and time-consuming, especially the Mathematics section, which many candidates found difficult.
The Paper 1 pattern included four Single Correct Questions (SCQs), four Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), four Matrix Match questions, and four Integer-type questions. There was no negative marking for Integer-type questions, while MCQs, SCQs, and Matrix Match questions carried a penalty of one mark for incorrect answers.
Meanwhile, Paper 2 consisted of 18 questions divided into two paragraphs. The paper included four Single Correct Questions carrying (+3, -1), five Multiple Correct Questions carrying (+4, -1), five Integer-type questions carrying (+4, -1), and four paragraph-based questions carrying (+2, 0).
IIT Roorkee had released the admit cards for the examination on May 11, 2026. The admit card included important details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, examination centre, reporting time, and instructions related to documents required at the exam venue.
The JEE Advanced 2026 results are scheduled to be announced on June 1. Candidates will be able to check their scorecards through the official portal once released.
