JEE Main 2026 Session 1: NTA reschedules January 23 exam for West Bengal candidates due to Saraswati Puja; check official notice
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an important update for candidates appearing in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 1 from West Bengal.
According to an official post shared by NTA on X, several candidates from West Bengal submitted requests regarding the celebration of Saraswati Puja on January 23, 2026. After reviewing these requests, NTA has decided to make a change in the exam schedule for affected students.
All candidates who were scheduled to appear for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 in West Bengal on January 23, 2026, will now be allotted another examination date.
This change applies only to those appearing in West Bengal on that specific date.
Now candidates should wait for the updated exam date information from NTA and regularly check official website and communication channels for further updates related to the same.
The JEE Main 2026 January exam will be conducted from January 21 to 29, 2026. NTA is also expected to release the JEE Mains January session admit card 2026 shortly. Once released, candidates will be able to download the hall ticket from the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in. To access the hall ticket, candidates must use: application number, date of birth.
The hall ticket is mandatory for entry into the examination hall. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without it.
