Maharashtra HSC Board 12th Result 2026: Check fail percentage, compartment exam, revaluation last date and fees
The Maharashtra State Board has announced the HSC Result 2026 with an overall pass percentage of 89.79 per cent. While most students have cleared the exam, many have not.
As per the data shared by the board, a total of 14,44,713 students appeared for the Class 12 examination, out of which 14,33,058 students passed. At least 35 per cent marks is needed in each subject to pass the Class 12 examination.
Students who did not pass, as well as those who want to improve their marks, will get another chance, with the applications opening for revaluation and re-examinations.
For students who believe there may be an error in their marks, the board has opened the verification and revaluation process. Applications for retotalling of marks and photocopy of answer sheets can be submitted online from May 3 to May 17. Students must apply through the official website and complete the process within the given timeline.
The board has set a structured process for re-evaluation. Students must first obtain a photocopy of their answer sheet before applying for re-evaluation. Once the copy is received, they will have five working days to submit their re-evaluation request.
A fee is applicable for each step. Students need to pay Rs 50 per subject for verification of marks, Rs 400 per subject for obtaining a photocopy of the answer sheet, and Rs 300 per subject for re-evaluation. All payments have to be made online.
Students can check their Maharashtra HSC Class 12 result online by visiting the official websites such as mahresult.nic.in, mahahsscboard.in, or hscresult.mkcl.org.
On the homepage, they need to click on the link for “HSC Examination February 2026 Result”, then enter their seat number and mother’s first name as mentioned on the hall ticket (if not available, they can enter “XXX”).
After submitting the details, the result will appear on the screen, which can be downloaded or printed for future use.
Students can also access their digital marksheet through DigiLocker or the UMANG app, and use SMS services if websites are slow due to heavy traffic.
