The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has announced the results for the January 2026 On-Demand Examination (ODE) for Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) courses. Candidates who appeared for the flexible exam system can now access their scorecards online through the official results portal.
The January session of the On-Demand Examination was conducted between January 1 and January 15, 2026, offering learners the flexibility to appear for exams as per their preparedness. The ODE system, a distinctive feature of NIOS, enables students to schedule exams throughout the year, making it a preferred option for those seeking alternative education pathways.
Candidates can follow the steps below to download their results:
Students are advised to verify all details mentioned in the scorecard carefully. In case of discrepancies, they should contact their respective NIOS regional centres.
To qualify in the examination, students must secure a minimum of 33 per cent marks in each subject, along with an aggregate performance as per NIOS norms. Additionally, candidates are required to pass in at least five subjects to be declared successful.
The board will issue original mark sheets and certificates through its regional centres in due course. Meanwhile, the online result will serve as a provisional document for academic and admission purposes.
Students who are not satisfied with their performance will have the option to apply for rechecking or revaluation of answer scripts. The application window for the same is expected to open shortly on the official website.
The declaration of the ODE results marks another step in NIOS’s ongoing efforts to provide flexible and inclusive education opportunities to learners across the country.
