The Panchayat & Rural Development Department, Assam has released an official notification inviting online applications for 1,508 contractual posts under various rural development schemes. The recruitment will be conducted under the Commissioner, Panchayat & Rural Development, Assam. Only candidates who are citizens of India, as defined under Articles 5 to 9 of the Constitution of India, can apply. The department has clarified that these posts are scheme-based and contractual in nature. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official website within the given deadline. The department is filling 1,508 vacant contractual posts under major rural schemes such as the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY-G), and Finance Commission Grants.
The notification clearly states that these posts are temporary and will remain valid only for the duration of the respective flagship programmes. The jobs are co-terminus with the schemes.
