RGIPT BTech admissions 2026 open through JEE Advanced scores: Check steps to apply here
The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) has started the admission process of Bachelors in Technology (BTech) for 2026-27 session. It has officially commenced with the institute opening its online registration portal on June 1, 2026. Candidates seeking admission to the institute’s undergraduate engineering programmes can now apply through the official admission portal. The registration window for the first round will remain open until June 21.
The latest admission cycle assumes significance as RGIPT, an Institution of National Importance, is offering admissions primarily on the basis of JEE Advanced 2026 performance. Total seat availability will be 580 in all eleven BTech courses offered by the institute in core engineering streams as well as technology-oriented courses.
To be eligible for consideration, the candidate should pass JEE Advanced 2026 examination and get a minimum aggregate percentage of 60 per cent in their class 12th exams.
. The qualifying subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and one additional subject considered for aggregate calculation. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories are eligible for a relaxation and need a minimum of 55 per cent aggregate marks.
The application fee has been fixed at ₹1,416 for General and OBC candidates, including GST. Women candidates across all categories, as well as SC, ST and PwD applicants, will have to pay ₹708.

- Go to the official admission website of RGIPT at rgipt.ac.in.
- On the homepage, search and locate the BTech Admission 2026 registration link.
- Register yourself by providing all necessary details and setting up your login ID and password.
- Login to the admission portal using the login credentials you just created.
- You can Fill the application form by giving all your personal data, educational data, and JEE Advanced 2026 data
- Submit all necessary documents, such as photograph, signature, certificates of 10th & 12th standards, JEE Advanced scorecard, and more
- Pay the application fee according to the guidelines through online payment.
- Once you have filled in all the information, recheck everything and submit the application form.
