BHUBANESWAR: SAI International School on Thursday organised the third edition of SAITED in its campus. As many as 5,500 students from various government and private schools from the twin city attended the mega event.
Aliasgar Q Contractor, an eminent scientist, briefed the students on the concept of clean energy and harvesting of energy. He also introduced the concept of
Hydrogen Economy
to the students. Srikanth Sundararajan delivered the TED Talk on technology and entrepreneurship.
SAI International School chairman Bijoy K Sahoo shared that this 'all school event' is a sincere attempt to plant the seed of science and technology in the students and give a light on the start-up culture of the state.
On the occasion, participants demonstrating outstanding science models were awarded. Workshops were held on Crime Forensic, Photography, Aero-modelling, Film-making and Coding. Students also participated in various competitions like TED-Q, the Science based quiz competition, Science Acapella and Rap, Speak Out Your Mind, JAMS and Science Up Comedy. An innovative Tech Fair was conducted where students displayed their science models.
The day ended with a much lighter note with stand-up comedian,
