DPS, Vasant Kunj library celebrated ‘National Book Year’ by organising a three-day book exhibition at the school. The theme of the exhibition was ‘Books Lead from Darkness to light’. This was followed by a workshop on ‘Meet the Author’ conducted by a renowned writer Ms Sigrun Srivastava who has authored many books for children of all ages.
A summer training camp was organised in Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai. Ms Ritu Goswal, secretary, Haryana Mahila congress committee was the guest of honour. Ms Goswal along with Mr V S Garg, HRD officer, Apeejay Education Society and school principal, Mrs M Goswami gave away prizes to 110 students out of 225 who took part in it.
Mr Barry John held a lecture-cum-demonstration workshop for teachers of Uttam School for Girls. Mr Barry John emphasised the immense scope of drama in classroom and demonstrated how easily it could be adapted in the curriculum to make it more lively. School principal, Mrs Asha Nair reiterated the school''s commitment towards getting the experts from every field to come and guide the teachers.
On the occasion of ‘The World Population Day’, Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar organised an awareness campaign about the implications of the increasing population in our country. School principal, Mrs Madhu Sen addressed the students. Students of the school actively participated in painting colourful charts, innovative slogans and elaborate banners to spread the awareness. Psychiatrist, Dr Sameer Parikh concluded the proceedings with the importance of spreading literacy in curbing the rising population.
On the occasion of the World Population Day, Jain Bharati Mrigavati Vidyalaya organised a programme to spread awareness about the adverse effects of the increasing population.
Presented by Rishabh house, the programme included a short skit and speeches highlighting the need to curb the increasing population.
