"Le Cordon Blue in Paris is among the popular culinary schools offering courses in baking, confectionery, gastronomy, and culinary management," says educationist Karan Gupta.

Jenny Jenkins, General Manager, Le Cordon Bleu New Zealand Institute says, "Our classes are relatively small with maximum 16 students in a class and this allows learners more one-on-one time. We also provide students-only training restaurants and dual qualification wherein students receive two sets of certificates, one set from New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) and Wellington Institute of Technology (Weltec) and another set which is from Le Cordon Blue."

"Our cuisine diploma helps in evolving a dish using innovation while for patisserie, students use advanced technique to make exotic chocolates and also learn design degustation, by tasting small portions and devising menus suitable for commercial kitchen," says Jenkins. Iram Mhammed Ali Shaikh, who pursued bachelor of culinary art and business degree at the institute says, "My course covered both the culinary and business aspect, providing students the skills required to succeed in the hospitality industry. "

ELIGIBILITY
Students should have completed class XII, and should be atleast 18 years of age. Some institutes require IELTS or TOEFL. At the master's level, students need to pass the English test. "If students opt for certificate or diploma courses, the previous degree requirement may be waived. In addition to this, students need to prepare their resume and a short essay on why they wish to study in a culinary school," says Gupta.
