Tata Steel Limited has begun the online registration process for Engineer Trainee posts under its Aspiring Engineer Programme (AEP) 2026. Eligible engineering graduates and final year students can apply through the official careers portal. The last date to submit the online application form is March 9, 2026. The recruitment drive is aimed at hiring young engineers for roles in operations, maintenance, mining and projects.
The selection will be done through an online test followed by further assessment rounds. Selected candidates will undergo one year of structured training. Applicants are advised to read the eligibility rules and age criteria carefully before submitting the application form.

After successful completion of training, candidates may be absorbed as Assistant Manager based on performance and company requirements.
Candidates must have completed full-time BE, BTech or BSc Engineering from a recognised institute. Students graduating in 2025 and those in the final year of 2026 are eligible to apply. Candidates who entered engineering through lateral entry after a three-year diploma can also apply.
General category candidates must have at least 65 per cent marks or 6.5 CGPA. SC, ST, PwD and transgender candidates must have at least 60 per cent marks or 6.0 CGPA.
The upper age limit as on January 1, 2026 is 30 years for general category candidates and 32 years for reserved category candidates.
Candidates must visit the official Tata Steel careers website. They need to register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
After registration, candidates must fill in personal and academic details carefully. Required documents must be uploaded in the prescribed format.
Candidates must pay the application fee of Rs 500 through online mode. After successful submission, applicants should download and save a copy of the application form for future reference.
