Between 2007 to 2023, he served in multiple roles including as President of the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) division of TCS, a key business vertical for the company. He held this position for over 16 years.
In June 2023, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of TCS, taking charge of the company’s global operations from Mumbai after a long internal career path.
TCS in its report also said that managerial remuneration is decided by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee based on performance, company results and market benchmarks.
