UGC NET December 2025: NTA releases revised final answer keys; direct link to download here
UGC NET December 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the revised final answer keys for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2025 session. The revision comes after the Agency followed directions issued by the Delhi High Court.
Earlier, the final answer keys were released on April 3. However, the keys did not include all subjects. At that time, answer keys were released only for History, Economics, Education, Commerce, and Hindi. After reviewing objections and court directions, the NTA has now issued revised final answer keys.
The History subject saw the most changes. The NTA has dropped four questions from the paper. In addition, three questions have now been marked as having two correct answers. These changes were made after several candidates raised objections.
Students who appeared for these subjects can expect revised results soon. The updated results are likely to be released anytime on the official website.
For the Commerce paper, which was conducted in the first shift on January 3, three questions have been dropped. One question has been given two correct answers.
The NTA has not made any changes in the Economics, Education, and Hindi papers.
The UGC NET December 2025 examination was conducted from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026. The provisional answer key was released on January 14.
The exam is conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions, and admission to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes.
The legal issue started after a writ petition was filed by student Kartikeya Kahol. He challenged four question IDs: 4324498604, 4324498530, 4324498544, and 4324498600, and requested the court to review them.
A total of 60,777 candidates appeared for the History paper in the December session. The results were declared on February 4. After the results, many candidates claimed that several questions were marked incorrectly. Some aspirants also raised concerns on social media, stating that errors were ignored.
Following the court’s direction and further review, the NTA has now released revised final answer keys.
