University of Hyderabad PG admissions 2026: Registration begins at acad.uohyd.ac.in, apply by June 8
The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has started the admission process for its postgraduate (PG) programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. Interested candidates can now submit their applications through the university's admission portal at acad.uohyd.ac.in.
The last date to apply for PG admissions is June 8, 2026.
For most postgraduate courses, admissions will be offered based on candidates' performance in the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2026. The entrance examination was conducted between March 6 and March 27, while the results were announced on April 24.
According to the university, a total of 1,295 seats are available across various master's programmes, including Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MSc), Master of Performing Arts (MPA), Master of Visual Arts (MVA), and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Analytics and Healthcare and Hospital Management, among others.
In addition, the university is offering 36 seats in MTech Microelectronics and VLSI Design, 40 seats in Master of Computer Applications (MCA), and 29 seats in MSc Biotechnology.
The university has also announced 100 seats in MTech programmes such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Bioinformatics. Admissions to these specialised programmes will be carried out through Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores and the Centralized Counselling for MTech/MArch/MPlan (CCMT) counselling process.

This year, 7.14 lakh candidates registered for CUET PG, while over 5 lakh candidates appeared for the examination. The test was conducted for 157 subjects in multiple shifts across the country.
General Management and Political Science emerged among the most popular subjects. The examination was held in 43 shifts, with each paper lasting 90 minutes.
The number of examination centres was reduced from 312 last year to 292 this year. Of these, 272 centres were located in India, while 16 were situated in overseas cities.
