CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu HSE +1 board exam results were declared on Monday at 10 am. Of 8,43,675 students who appeared for the board exam, 7,59,856 (90%) cleared it. Compared to previous board exams held in March 2020, the pass percentage has come down by 6% this year.
While 95% of girls cleared the exam, only 85% of boys who appeared for the exam cleared. The difference is 10%.
Students, who will receive marks through SMS, can check results on www.tnresults.nic.in, www.dge.tn.gov.in or at their schools. More than eight lakh students appeared for the exams held from May 9 to 31. The board has already declared Class X, XII results on June 20.
Students who fail to clear the exam will be allowed to continue their Class XII and they can clear the arrears in supplementary exam or along with next year's board exam.

For re-evaluation, students need to apply for copy of the answer script. Those who apply for a copy of answer scripts alone are eligible to apply for re-evaluation. The fee for getting a copy of the answer script for a subject is Rs 275.
