While these centres will be geo-tagged like last year, offline verification of facilities will be done by a committee of principals formed at the block level under the district inspector of schools (DIOS).

“This time the UP board has introduced a rating system that will determine the selection of the examination centre," Dharmveer Singh, DIOS of GB Nagar, said. "In this, schools with smart classes will be given five marks extra, while the top 10 schools at the district level will get five marks. Schools that have toppers at the state level will get 10 marks."

"Also, schools which are financially devoid and yet conduct examinations of more than 125 students in one shift, will be made examination centres. Unfunded schools with less than 125 capacity will not be made exam centres,” he added.

Moreover, the committee of principals formed at the block level will go to the school and verify the geotagging and confirm the same on the official web portal, said Singh.
