Alliance tallies shift across Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Puducherry and Kerala
Counting is underway across four states with leads still in motion. In Tamil Nadu, where 118 seats are needed for a majority in the 234-seat assembly, independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively hold a tally of 115, with 10 seats won and 105 leads, sitting just 3 seats short of the majority mark. SPA has a tally of 60, with 7 won and 53 leading, while NDA is at 55, all leads and no wins declared yet. In West Bengal, BJP is leading in enough seats to cross the majority mark of 148 in the 294-seat house if those leads hold, carrying a tally of 179 with 11 won and 168 leading. TMC trails with a tally of 106, comprising 2 won and 104 leading seats. Candidates from other parties or independents cumulatively lead in 8 seats in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA has crossed the majority mark of 16 in the 30-seat assembly on current tallies, with 13 seats won and 5 more leading for a tally of 18. SPA stands at a tally of 5, with 2 won and 3 leading. Kerala's 140-seat assembly requires 71 for a majority. UDF leads in enough seats to cross that mark if the leads hold, with 68 won and 19 leading for a tally of 87. LDF has 30 won and 6 leading, giving it a tally of 36. Independent and smaller party candidates cumulatively account for a tally of 17 in Kerala.
