Majuli Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: BJP's Bhuban Gam wins as Congress trails by 35,300 votes
Indraneel Pegu (Congress), Bhuban Gam (Bharatiya Janata Party), and Bhaity Richong (Socialist Unity Centre Of India (COMMUNIST)) — The candidates contesting from Majuli in Assam's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Majuli is a Scheduled Tribe (ST) reserved constituency. In 2021, Sarbananda Sonowal of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat. While Sonowal won the seat in the 2021 General Election, he resigned in September 2021 after being elected to the Rajya Sabha. This triggered a by-election in 2022, which was subsequently won by Bhuban Gam of the BJP the final result will show which candidate has secured the most votes in Majuli in 2026.
