Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited poll-bound Assam where he met tea-garden workers. He also addressed back-to-back rallies vowing BJP's return to the state.

At a rally in Gogamukh , PM Modi said that if BJP returns to power, it will implement the Uniform Civil Code. He also promised steps to protect tribal communities and safeguard Assam’s identity, while pointing to the state’s development under the current government.

Economy push: Assam as India’s growth engine

BJP claimed to turn Assam into an economic hub, building on a GSDP jump from around Rs. 2.27 lakh crore to around Rs. 8.71 lakh crore. All of this was said for faster growth, more investments, and positioning Assam as India’s eastern gateway.

The party highlighted about Rs. 5.5 lakh crore+ central assistance in 11 years and promised continued funding.

Income rise & poverty drop

BJP claimed Assam’s per capita income rose to around Rs. 1,85,429 while poverty fell from 36.97% to 14.47%, lifting 80 lakh+ people out of poverty.

PM Modi said that the manifesto leaned heavily on direct benefit schemes aimed at financial independence of women

Land rights and identity protection

Over 3 lakh people given land rights and 1.6 lakh bighas freed from encroachment, BJP framed this as protecting “Jati-Mati-Bheti” while promising stricter land and identity safeguards.

'Hat-trick’ call, direct attack on Congress

At the rally, PM Modi didn’t hold back. He told the crowd the BJP is aiming for a third straight win in Assam, calling it a “three-time victory.” At the same time, he cornered Congress, calling it a party stuck in a “losing hat-trick” after repeated defeats.
