Congress promises Himachal Pradesh 300 units of free power, old pension plan
SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) on Saturday released its manifesto, “Pratigya Patra 2022”, for the assembly elections with the promise to provide 300 units of free power and Rs 10 crore ‘start up fund’ in every assembly constituency. It also promised Rs 1,500 per month to women between the age of 18 and 60 years.
The manifesto further promises of taking a decision to provide one lakh jobs and to bring back the old pension scheme in the first cabinet meeting.
To woo the employee vote bank, the party also promised to revoke all the transfers of government staffers by CM Jai Ram Thakur-led BJP government on political grounds, with the sole aim of harassing them. Congress has also promised to set up the youth commission on coming to power.
