Yellapura is a town in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, India.
Among many other hills and valleys, there are two well-known natural falls near Yellapur: Satoddi Falls, 25 km away from the town, and Magod Falls, 19 km away from Yellapur, in the village of Magodu. 17 km from Yellapur is Jenukallu Gudda (Honey-Stone Hill), a viewpoint with a panoramic view of the Western Ghats.

It is a major trading centre for Arecanut, which is the primary crop grown in the villages surrounding the town. Approximately 90% of the population of Yellapura are farmers who grow Arecanut and paddy.
Yellapur Taluka of Uttara Kannada district has a total population of 78,662, as per Census 2011, out of which 39,813 are males while 38,849 are females. In 2011, there were a total 18,155 families residing in Yellapur. Average Sex Ratio of Yellapur is 976.
As per 2011 Census, 26% people lives in urban areas while 74% live in the rural areas. Literacy rate of Yellapur Taluka is 81.34%. Male literacy rate is 76.93% and female literacy rate is 67.56% in Yellapur.
In 2019, this constituency was won by Bharatiya Janata Party's Arabail Hebbar Shivaram, who defeated Bhimanna Naik of the Indian National Congress with a margin of 31,408 votes.
2013 and 2008 elections were won by the same candidate, however, he represented the Indian National Congress back then.
