Ernakulam Assembly Election Results 2026 Highlights: Congress candidate T.J Vinod wins the seat
T J Vinod of the Indian National Congress won the Ernakulam constituency with 61,296 votes, defeating Independent candidate Sabu George by a margin of 36,163 votes. Sabu George secured 25,133 votes. BJP candidate P R Sivasankar finished third with 19,154 votes.Five candidates contested from Ernakulam in Kerala's 2026 Assembly Election: Moses Henry Motha (AAP), T J Vinod (Congress), P R Sivasankar (BJP), and Independents Sabu George and Ashokan. Votes cast across this constituency were counted, and early trends from each round were closely watched as the day unfolded.Ernakulam is a General constituency under the Ernakulam Lok Sabha segment. In 2021, T J Vinod of Congress won by a margin of 10,970 votes. T J Vinod had also won in 2016. The 2021 turnout was 71.72%.
