Cheyyur Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: AIADMK’s Rajasekar E wins by 5,668 vote margin

In Cheyyur, Rajasekar E of AIADMK secured a narrow victory, polling 63,809 votes and defeating TVK’s Mohan Raja MGK by a margin of 5,668 votes. VCK’s Sinthanai Selvan finished third with 57,909 votes, as the constituency witnessed a closely contested battle ending in an AIADMK win.

TVK is currently leading in 124 of Tamil Nadu's 234 assembly seats, putting the party six seats short of the 118 needed for a majority. AIADMK is placed second with leads in 48 constituencies, while DMK is showing in 41. No seats have been declared yet as counting continues across the state.

With the count now under way in Cheyyur, attention turns to the round-wise tallies building at the counting centre. As counting progresses, the constituency's verdict will gradually take shape before the final declaration.
