Jolarpet Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: AIADMK’s Veeramani KC wins by 16,083 vote margin

In Jolarpet, Veeramani KC of AIADMK secured a clear victory, polling 78,633 votes and defeating TVK’s Munisamy C by a margin of 16,083 votes. DMK’s Kavithadhandapani finished third with 61,977 votes, as the constituency delivered a decisive mandate in favour of AIADMK.

TVK is currently leading in 118 of Tamil Nadu's 234 assembly seats, putting the party right at the majority mark of 118. AIADMK is trailing with leads in 62 constituencies, while DMK is ahead in 36. With no seats declared yet and counting still under way, the picture remains fluid across the state.

In the Jolarpet constituency of Tamil Nadu, AIADMK's Veeramani K.C., aged 61, is currently leading the count with 7,799 votes. TVK's Munisamy C is trailing at 6,247 votes, leaving a margin of 1,552 between the two. Counting is still under way, and no result has been declared in this seat yet.

In Jolarpet, votes cast on polling day are now being counted in rounds at the designated counting centre. Each round adds to the cumulative tallies until a winning candidate is formally declared.

Once all rounds of counting are completed in Jolarpet, the Returning Officer will formally declare the winner. Until then, round-wise tallies from the counting centre will be the key indicator of how the result is shaping up.

As counting progresses in Jolarpet, the emerging tallies will be compared with the 2021 result when Devaraji.K. of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam won the seat. May 4 final declaration will show how the vote distribution has evolved.
