Arpita Ghosh (Trinamool Congress), Pradip Kumar Mitra (Congress), Bidyut Kumar Roy (Bharatiya Janata Party), Jogesh Chandra Murmu (Bahujan Samaj Party), Arnab Chowdhury (Revolutionary Socialist Party), Namita Mahanta (Poli) (Socialist Unity Centre Of India (COMMUNIST)), Narottam Saha (Amra Bangalee), Masuma Khatun (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Dipankar Barman (Independent), Dulal Barman (Independent), Pradyut Kumar Saha (Independent), Mithun Barman (Independent), and Sushil Mardi (Independent) — 13 candidates contesting from Balurghat in West Bengal's 2026 Assembly Election. Votes cast across this constituency are now being counted, and early trends from each round will be closely watched as the day unfolds. Balurghat is a General constituency under the Balurghat Lok Sabha segment, with 180,390 voters on its electoral rolls. In 2021, Ashok Kumar Lahiri of the Bharatiya Janata Party won by a margin of 13,436 votes. The 2016 winner was Biswanath Choudhury of the RSP. the final result will show which candidate has secured the most votes in Balurghat in 2026.
