Krishnaganj Assembly Election Results 2026 Live Updates: BJP’s Sukanta Biswas defeats TMC’s Samir Kumar Poddar by 60,899 votes

In Krishnaganj, Sukanta Biswas of BJP secured a landslide victory, polling 1,39,838 votes and defeating TMC’s Samir Kumar Poddar by a margin of 60,899 votes. Poddar finished second with 78,939 votes after all 15 EVM rounds were counted.

In the Krishnaganj constituency of West Bengal, counting is still under way with TMC's Samir Kumar Poddar currently holding the lead. The seat, which was held by BJP's Ashis Kumar Biswas going into this election, remains one to watch as the final numbers come in from this reserved constituency.
