In Purulia, Sudip Kumar Mukherjee of BJP secured a landslide victory, polling 1,28,454 votes and defeating TMC’s Sujoy Banerjee by a margin of 49,253 votes. Banerjee finished second with 79,201 votes after all 22 EVM rounds were counted.

Sujoy Banerjee, contesting on a Trinamool Congress ticket, is one of 13 candidates whose votes are being tallied in Purulia May 4. As counting progresses, the round-wise figures will show how they have fared across the constituency.
