Anantnag-Rajouri poll deferred to May 25

SRINAGAR: Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday rescheduled polling for Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat in J&K from May 7 to May 25 due to road, weather and logistic issues hindering the campaign.

“Various representations have been received from political parties urging to defer the polls,” said EC.

The poll panel has sought from the state administration a detailed report on accessibility to different regions in the constituency.
