VARANASI:
Congress general secretary
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will lead a roadshow here on Wednesday evening to garner support for party candidate
Ajay Rai. And, in doing so, the Congress's east UP in-charge will curiously and literally follow in the PM's footsteps.
Narendra Modi had held a rally here on April 25, which Priyanka's procession is expected to map. She will reach the city after addressing a public meeting in Salempur in support of party candidate Rajesh Mishra, who had won the Varanasi seat in 2004.
Congress's regional media in-charge Satish Rai said after landing at LBS International Airport here at 1.35pm, Priyanka will leave for Salempur by chopper and return at 3.30pm. The roadshow will begin from Lanka and culminate at Kashi Vishwanath temple. Modi had held his roadshow on the same route, once in May 2017 and again on April 25 this year.
