Joy Mukherjee and Sayantika Banerjee who were once an adorable couple were reportedly having some issues in 2018. Later, Sayantika alleged on social media that Joy used to abuse her yet she tried to adjust but finally decided to part ways in 2018. In July, 2018, Joy was arrested by the Kolkata police over charges of assaulting the actress. Sayantika filed a police complaint stating that Joy’s vehicle overtook her car while she was coming back from the gym. Joy reportedly tried to pull her out of the car and physically assaulted her. When Sayantika’s attendant tried to help her, Joy assaulted him too. Following this, he was arrested and later granted bail.

It all started when Pori Moni expressed her dismay when her husband Sariful Razz held actress Bidya Sinha Mim’s hand at a promotional event for their film Damal. She also took to Facebook to aim a dig at Bidya, claiming that she was trying to get with other men. Tagging her husband, Raihan and Bidya, Pori wrote: “You should have been content with your own husband.” She also accused Raihan of “brokerage”, implying he is pimping Bidya out. To her husband, Pori said: “You shouldn’t have let it go this far.” The ugly spat between Pori Moni and Bidya became one of the most talked about incidents in 2022. Many even started blaming Bidya Sinha Mim for destroying Pori Moni and Sariful Razz’s marriage.

Actor-director Tathagata Mukherjee and Debleena Dutt’s marriage of seven years hit the doldrums in 2021. The reason behind this, is, reportedly, Tathagata’s alleged relationship with actress Bibriti Chatterjee. Debleena even publicly admitted that things are not working out between Tathagata and her because of personal differences. However, both Tathagata and Bibriti denied these rumours. Tathagata said he won’t talk about this since it’s his personal matter. But, Bibriti’s cryptic Instagram posts lately convinced gossipmongers that she might be the reason behind Tathagata and Debleena’s breakup.

When popular actor Kanchan Mullick and his wife Pinky Banerjee were at loggerheads, actress Sreemoyee Chattoraj was dragged into the mudslinging as a portion of social media slammed her for being the reason behind Kanchan and Pinky’s troubled married life. It is no more a secret that Barkha Bisht and Indraneil Sengupta have been living separately for over two years. The actress has confirmed that their divorce will be coming through soon, and it has been one of the most difficult decisions of her life.
