An overjoyed Atanu is surely in happy space but at the same time he is looking forward to the big screen release. “I will always want a theatrical release, as I believe watching a film on a big screen has its own charm and magic. ‘Binisutoy’ is a film with a completely different concept and it has been highly appreciated at several prestigious film festivals around the world. So, I hope the film hits the theatres by the end of this year,” said the National Award-wining director while speaking to ETimes.

‘Binisutoy’ has already travelled many prestigious film fests like Kerala International Film Festival, Madrid Indie Film Festival, Indian Film Festival of Talhouse in France, Thrissur International Film Festival to name a few.

In ‘Binisutoy’, Kajal Sarkar (Ritwick Chakraborty) and Sraboni Barua (Jaya Ahsan) are two strangers who meet at the audition of a reality game show, and thereafter through some strange turns of events, the journey of these two people grow into an engaging drama of intrigue, surprise and enlightenment.

The film’s story penned by Atanu himself sheds light on the eternal quest for an alternative lifestyle. What’s more interesting apart from the unusual pair of Riwick and Jaya is that we would get to see Jaya Ahsan’s singing talent as well in the film. Beside Jaya Ahsan and Riiwick, the film has an ensemble cast including Kaushik Sen, Chandrayee Ghosh, Kheya Chattopadhyay and others in important roles.
