Indira Dhar Mukherjee’s critically acclaimed film ‘The Green Window’, starring Jaya Seal Ghosh, is all set for its OTT release and ahead of it the director arranged a special screening of the film in Kolkata recently.
"The Green Window will be releasing this Christmas on India's one of the biggest OTT channel. The journey from conceptualizing the content to release was a very enriching one.

The film received multiple awards from India and abroad and is based on Georgetta Lorimer, a resident of St. Catherine's Home Kolkata. We organized a special screening ahead of the release at St. Catherine's Home inside St. Paul's Boarding and Day School premises in Kolkata. I could make this film because of Sr. Regi mother superior who allowed me to make the film on Georgetta Lorimer. Georgetta Lorimer lived at St. Catherine's Home till her death,” shared the director adding that it was indeed an emotional evening for the residents as they watched the film and remembered their friend Georgetta.

‘The Green Window’, presented by Priti Agarwal, tells the story of Georgy, inspired by the tragic real-life story of an old-age home resident named Georgetta Lorimer, abandoned by her family during her zenith days. The protagonist is played by Jaya Seal Ghosh on screen, who also co-produced the film. The film mirrors the social reality of our times. It was screened and nominated in the National Competition and India Premiere at the 27th KIFF, and also won the 12th Dada Saheb Phalke Special Jury Award in the best film category apart from many other national and international awards.

While Bickram Ghosh scored the music, Arghyakamal Mitra edited the film.
