A star-studded banquet to ring in Bengali new year

Tollywood’s A-listers came together at a city banquet recently to celebrate Noboborsho with good food and adda. Despite the heat, guests were dressed in glamorous outfits and the best ethnic fashion picks. “Poila Boisakh is always special to me. I feel extremely positive on this day with the hope that the coming year would be good for all of us. Noboborsho always meant dressing up for a grand feast.I am so happy to meet so many people from the industry today,” said Prosenjit Chatterjee, who was dressed in breezy linens and was spotted having a nice time as he socialised with the guests.

The prawn cocktails and kebabs were a hit among the invitees. “I had to attend a music launch in the evening, but I ensured that I am part of this Poila Boisakh gathering. I loved the dim posto bata and the bhapa doi at dinner. The chanar dalna too was a hit. I was confused by the lavish Bengali spread,” said Tnusree Chakraborty with a smile.
