Abir celebrates Bhai Phonta with family

It is family time for actor Abir Chatterjee as he celebrates Bhai Phonta at his place. His cousins and other family members came over and the actor had gala time.

“We are celebrating Bhai Phonta at my place. All my mamas came over to take Phonta from my mother (Rumki Chatterjee). My sisters came too. For us, it is not Bhai Duj, it is Bhai Phota and that is followed by a sumptuous lunch. However, one of my kid sisters is in Bangalore. Hence, we have decided to hold a video call with her,” Abir told us.

The actor is busy shooting Pavel’s next, Asur, with Nusrat Jahan and Jeet. The team is having whole-night shoots. “The only problem is that I had to attend an event on Monday and that was followed by a whole-night shoot for Asur. So after the celebration is over, I will sleep,” the actor said.

The family man

that he is, Abir spent his Diwali at home too. Speaking to us about his celebrations, the actor said, “I stayed back home. We had a house party on Saturday night, which went on till the wee hours. That tends to happen with old friends meet!”

Abir’s wife, Nandini Chatterjee, hosted a Diwali party for their friends last night. “It was spearheaded by Nandini. She took care of everything. I stand nowhere in front of her when it comes to hosting such gatherings. I just stand as an enthusiastic participant — my role ends there! It was a lot of fun. Good food and endless adda sessions make for the perfect house party,” shared Abir.
