After creating enough excitement among fans with his next, the action entertainer ‘Mirza’, the dashing actor has now announced yet another big-budget project. He has partnered with director Sayantan Ghosal for a new action-packed film based on Bengal Police. However, it’s still not clear whether he will be a part of the cast.
Ankush dropped a teaser of the film and captioned it, “Watch Them Creating a Whole New System.. Cops will be announced soon .. till then have patience .. #BengalPolice.. Need your love and best wishes.. @ankushmotionpictures @nexgen_venture.” Going by the announcement teaser, we would get to see a mass film exploring the ‘biggest cop universe’. The actor is also the co-producer of the film.

Meanwhile, fans are eagerly waiting for the next update on his next film ‘Mirza’. Ankush recently announced the main villain of the action entertainer and it is ace actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya. However, fans are still in the dark regarding the rest of the cast, including the female lead of the film which will see Ankush unleashing his gangster avatar.
Currently, he has a number of films in the lineup. Anshuman Pratysh’s ‘Ogo Bideshini’ which will see him opposite foreign actor Alexandra Taylor,
Soumik Haldar’s Bibaho Abhijan 2, Raja Chanda’s ‘Bhoy’ opposite Nusraat Faria and ‘Savings Account’ co-starring Sayantika Banerjee – all of these films will see the popular actor in a wide range of characters.
Speaking about the recent success of action entertainers Ankush said that films like ‘Pushpa’, ‘KGF’, and ‘RRR’ enjoyed massive box office success because of the ‘desi’ attitude and the mass appeal. “It’s not only that South Indian stars are becoming more mainstream than ever but it is also a fact that South Indian film industries are more up-to-date with cultural and technological trends than others. They are coming up with a wide variety of offerings. Some of these, for instance the domestic thriller or drama, give international appeal because it already shares a Western language of films. On the other hands, others, like the star-driven big-budget films, continue from an already existing mode of narration in Indian mainstream cinema but they have upgraded on the technological front. However, the appeal remains the same,” explains Ankush.

Sharing his thoughts on the craze ‘Mirza’ has created the actor added, “I have already heard that many are saying Mirza has similarities with the way South films are being made. But honestly speaking I have always wanted to be a part of such larger than life action films. Those who love commercial potboilers for them Mirza will be a visual extravaganza. The way films like Pushpa and KGF: 2 have enjoyed the craze among cine buffs I think films like these should be made to bring back the golden days of Tollywood when we used to create havoc at the box office.”
