Ajitava Barat’s next ‘Bhoote Biswas Koren?’ is a spine-chilling horror mystery

In all these years, there is something that remained constant in ghost stories. The mysterious scenario of a quiet, dark town in rural Bengal, a broken car and our never-ending thrust for twisting eerie stories have always enthralled us.‘Bhoote Biswas Koren?’ is one such story that draws inspiration from these factors and stitches three intense stories in one narrative.
Shot in and around Kolkata, Bolpur and North Bengal, the horror flick has an impressive cast including singer Silajit Majumder and actors Sreelekha Mitra, Biswajit Chakraborty and Kushal Chakraborty among others.

The narrative is set in a moonlit village night and lonely vacant road. Little scattered trees here and there. Through the middle of all things, came running a car. It stopped a little far. A woman opened the door and came near. Here and there, darkness rules, no one is around, no houses, nothing. With no other option, she returned and just about to get in the car, saw a light far away. It’s a village mud hut, one single house in the whole area. She kept walking near the house holding a torch in her hand. With very much curiosity, she moved closer to the house and knocked on the door handle. A middle-aged man opened the door. Rough, untidy hair, spectacles in his eyes makes the man a mysterious character. The man, a director by profession, asked the woman to come inside. From that moment, the story starts and what happens next is a thrilling ride of a horror story.
