What can be more thrilling than a message from the man everyone loves? Team Raktabeej has a similar experience to share. The trailer of the film, has got conversations rolling and amidst all this, best wishes have come from none other than mega star Amitabh Bachchan!
Taking to Twitter, Big B not only shared the link of the trailer, he also wrote, “All best wishes”.
Inspired by the Burdwan blast in 2014, which shook up Bengal and also the nation, Raktabeej, directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, is about the homecoming of the first citizen of the country to his native village for Durga Puja and how an accidental blast in a firecracker unit unveils a bigger threat to his life. While Victor Banerjee will be seen in the role of the President, the cast includes the likes of Abir Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty, Anasua Majumdar, Kanchan Mallick, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Debasish Mondal, Satyam Bhattacharya, Devlina Kumar and others. In the trailer it is evident that Abir’s character of Pankaj Sinha, who represents the central investigation team and Mimi’s character of Sanjukta Mitra, SP of Burdwan, will be locking horns over the probe, but they extend the olive branch for the sake of a bigger mission.
Abir and Mimi also thanked Big B for his wishes on Twitter. Abir wrote, “Thank you Sir. Means a lot.” Mimi, on her part, wrote, “Coming from the Legend himself, I am out of words. Thank you sir”.
The director duo is equally excited. Shiboprosad wrote on Twitter, “After Belaseshe, got his blessings again for Raktabeej. He is none other than our hero, our icon, our inspiration (Amitabh Bachchan). Thank you Sir.” Notably, the mega star had seen Belaseshe and was all praise for the film as he wrote, “BELASESHE… the film with subtitles… its simplicity grabs you by the heart and coverts you into a human…!”
