Anusha Viswanathan forays into Malayalam films

Anusha Viswanathan

, who forayed into Tollywood with

Durga Sohay

and subsequently made a mark with Dhananjoy, is all set for her debut in

Malayalam

films. She will be playing the protagonist in Idi Mazha Kattu that translates into ‘Thunder, Rain, Wind,’ directed by Ambili S Rengan. Speaking to us about the big leap, she said, “I’m really nervous as well as excited to work in a completely new film industry, especially one about which I’ve heard tonnes of praises. It’s a road film that chronicles the very emotional journey of a girl migrating from West Bengal to Kerala.”
Anusha plays Saugata, a 24-year-old Bengali girl from a rural background, in the film. Giving us an insight into the character, she said, “Sougata migrates to Kerala for a job opportunity that will allow her to pay for her ailing sister’s treatment. Thereafter, she travels all over the state as certain events in her life unfold. She also goes through a complete rollercoaster emotional ride. It’s doubly exciting that I get to explore a whole different culture, through my character’s eyes.”
