was initially offered the role of Eela. However, due to date issues Aparajita had to turn down the offer.

“Yes, I was supposed to play the role Sudiptaa is essaying. But after watching the trailer I must say she has done an exceptional job. Kaushikda actually wrote the character keeping me in mind. However, I couldn’t give the date that time. ‘Jyeshthoputro shoot was pushed back three months that time and I had already started working on ‘Bela Shuru’. I couldn’t say no to Nandita-Shibu because I already gave them my words. So, it was my bad luck couldn’t be a part of Jyeshthoputro. But it doesn’t matter, I know Sudiptaa will do justice to the character,” said Aparajita.

Incidentally, the seasoned actress had earlier played Prosenjit’s wife on screen in Kaushik Ganguly’s ‘Kishore Kumar Junior’ last year.
