The fact that Babul Supriyo is a multi-talented artiste is known to one and all. From being a popular singer to becoming a celebrated actor in Tollywood along with maintaining the balance between his successful political career and the entertainment industry, his journey has been quite incredible everywhere.

Soon, the musician-actor turned politician will be seen in Raajhorshee De’s ‘Rifle. In the action thriller, he will be seen as the husband of Arpita Chatterjee who plays an IPS officer. Speaking of his acting career, Babul insists: "I am not an actor, neither I work for money. I am happy to work as long as my artistic craving is satisfied. If there are credible aritists and comfortable environment I am ok with it." Beside ‘Rifle’, he will also essay a key role in Srijit Mukherji's much anticipated ‘

Born Babul Supriyo Baral in 1970 to Sunil Chandra Baral and Sumitra Baral, he comes from a musical family and was greatly influenced by his grandfather, Banikantha NC Baral, a renowned Bengali vocalist and composer.

His breakthrough came with Bollywood hit ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ in 2000, in which his song "Dil Ne Dil ko Pukara" became a massive hit.
