, got married to her friend-turned-partner Sunny Poddar on January 4 in Dhaka. “Sunny and I have been friends for the past six years. We got introduced through a mutual friend and with time, a relationship bloomed. I am an introvert by nature, so, it was Sunny who popped the question first. He is a romantic by heart, while I am a quiet girl who is not very expressive,” said Mim with a chuckle. The couple was to fly off to Maldives for their honeymoon on January 10, but it had to be postponed. "My husband tested positive for COVID-19. He is in home isolation now. I also underwent the test but my reports came negative,” she shared.
What did Sunny give her on her wedding day, we asked her. “He gave me a beautiful engagement ring,” shared Mim. The actress, who has starred opposite Soham, Jeet and Prosenjit Chatterjee, is looking forward to acting in a Bengali film soon. “There were talks about a Tollywood project, but everything went haywire because of the pandemic and subsequent lockdown-like restrictions,” she said.
