) and Insiya (Sneha Ghosh) — come together to form a band but the lack of rehearsal space gets in the way of realising their dreams. That is when Sidhu Jyatha (

) steps in with a solution and allows them to practise in Nataraj Club. He also suggests a name for the band, RANI, saying it would help them connect with their roots, as it’s an acronym for all of their names.
The moment everything seems on track, the band gets embroiled in a fight with Dilip, the right-hand man of a local MLA and a thug. The musicians’ families are also threatened with dire consequences if the girls continued to pursue the band. “An old problem between Sidhu and local MLA Damini Guha Roy (Churni Ganguly) rears its ugly head. Seeing the window of opportunity, Damini asks Dilip to start harassing Sidhu. However, everything becomes peaceful when RANI steps in,” said the director. RANI is eventually asked to perform on the local stage but it’s a fight till the end.
