The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2024 is proud to present a remarkable selection of Bengali human drama feature and short films, showcasing the depth and richness of Bengali cinema. This year’s lineup features compelling narratives and outstanding performances that promise to captivate audiences and highlight the glory of Bengali cinema. The films that will be screened are:

Padatik: Directed by Srijit Mukherji starring Chanchal Chowdhury, Korak Samanta, Monami Ghosh the film delves into the intricacies of human relationships and societal expectations.


Kabuliwala: Directed by Suman Ghosh the film brings to life the timeless story of a man from Kabul, portrayed by Mithun Chakraborty, who forms a touching bond with a young girl. The film also stars Anumegha Kahali, Abir Chatterjee, and Sohini Sarkar, adding layers of emotional depth to this beloved tale.



The Colour Yellow (Short Film): The film directed by Modhurima Sinha stars Sauraseni Maitra in the lead. The short film explores themes of love, loss, and the quest for identity through a visually striking and emotionally resonant narrative.
