Yes, we are talking about ‘

Binisutoy

’ which sees Ritwick Chakraborty and Jaya Ahsan sharing the screen in a feature film for the first time. And now, Atanu, being the captain of the ship, has another reason to celebrate. ‘Binisutoy’ will soon start its festival journey as it has been officially selected to be screened at the prestigious

International Film Festival of Kerala

which is scheduled to start on December 6.

“Every year, Indian Cinema Now of prestigious International Film Festival of Kerala features only seven noteworthy Indian films. #Binisutoy finds berth among the coveted seven this year. Proud previlege for the entire team. @JayaAhsan2 @debojyotimishr2 @ECHO_PvtLtd.”
While speaking about his upcoming film, the national award-winning director gave a sneak peek into what to expect from ‘Binisutoy’.

“You have successfully completed yet another day of your life but something is missing. Why on Earth do we feel that something is missing in our life? Is it because our life is just like everyone else’s? Perhaps such feelings drive us to try out something different and make something exceptional out of our unexceptional life. In ‘Binisutoy’, Kajal Sarkar (Ritwick Chakraborty) and Sraboni Barua (Jaya Ahsan) are two strangers who meet at the audition of a reality game show, and thereafter through some strange turns of events, the journey of these two people grow into an engaging drama of intrigue, surprise and enlightenment,” the ace filmmaker had said earlier while speaking about the film.

The film’s story penned by Atanu himself sheds light on the eternal quest for an alternative lifestyle. What’s more interesting apart from the unusual pair of Ritwick and Jaya is that we would get to see Jaya Ahsan’s singing talent as well in the film. Beside Jaya and Ritwick, the film has an ensemble cast including Kaushik Sen, Chandrayee Ghosh, Kheya Chattopadhyay and others in important roles.
