Biplab Chatterjee enters the murky world of spirits

The serial, Aloukik Na Loukik, is an endeavour to bust those ill-doers who take advantage of vulnerable minds in the name of faith and superstitions. This show narrates the story of five friends who get together to unmask the villainy of con-men who exploit the faith of vulnerable people.

The main protagonist, Bikram Chatterjee, a young science graduate, with his friends take on some self-proclaimed god-men after an incident that changes their life. Bikram and his friends decide to expose fake god-men and scammers, who through their well-choreographed acts of deceit, gain popularity amongst the masses.

The perpetrators

try to stop Bikram and his friends. But Bikram, with his steadfast conscience, science,

, and support of his four friends, brings the offenders to justice.

The serial will see Biplab Chatterjee playing a pivotal role. He plays Dharani, a father who is emotionally blackmailed by his only son. After his wife’s death, Dharani believes his wife’s

soul

could accompany him if he can contact her through

planchet

. He tells his close circle of friends that he knows how to bring souls back to earth. Some of his friend try to talk to their long-deceased relatives through Dharani and they are successful in it. Dharani’s son, Surjo, plans to earn more by utilising the old man’s skill. “I enjoyed playing Dharani as the character is interesting. The way they presented the character is nice and I hope the audience will like it too,” said the actor.

Biplab added, “I also play Nusrat’s father in Pavel’s Asur. He is an affectionate father who wants her daughter to get married to Abir’s character, but the daughter is hell-bent on getting married to Jeet’s character.”
