drama comprises of a star cast, featuring Nusrat Jahan, Mimi Chakraborty, Sohini Sarkar, Priyanka Sarkar, Vikram Chatterjee, Indrasish Roy and Gaurav Chakraborty.
Birsa has finally started shooting for his much-anticipated film on Tuesday. Interestingly, it also happens to be his mother’s birthday and the director was quite excited to share the same on social media. He wrote, “Aaj ma er jonmodin, ar aaj thekei amader women centric drama, #Crisscross er shooting shuru! Ekei bawle, mother of a beginning!”
Dasgupta’s narrative for his upcoming film aims to analyze the individual lives of 5 women, who believe in different notions life that contradict each other’s ideology. Their individual, yet interconnected crisis and social status build the crux of the plot.

Swastika Mukherjee was also part of 'Crisscross' but backed out later as she thought the character she was offered seemed shallow.
The script of this Birsa Dasgupta directorial has been written by another noted director Mainak Bhoumik.
