Jaya Seal Ghosh is all set to begin shooting for Arnab Ghoshs Kanchenjunga Express. An actor who is very choosy about her roles, Jaya says there is enough layers in her character that has made her want to do it.Says the actors, I am not an actor who is interested in quantity of roles. I go for quality and choose to do what I get creative satisfaction from. This is a thriller where I play an independent girl of today. In a bid to explore herself, she takes off on a trip via Kanchenjunga Express. Thats where she meets the character played by Sabyasachi Chakraborty.
Acting opposite Sabysachi is exciting for Jaya since they share a history of having worked together. Way back in 2000, I had done a film with him titled
Sesh Thikana. It was directed by Prabhat Roy. I am looking forward to this opportunity of working with Benuda (Sabyasachi) again.
What about Bollywood films? Considering that her former co-stars are doing so well in Bollywood now, does she share notes with them? I am in my own trip. I am very happy to see how the industry has embraced Prabhu Dheva with open arms. In 2000, I did a Tamil film with him called
Pennin Manathai Thottu. Both of us had played doctors in the film. Prabhu Dheva is such a natural actor. People usually talk about his dancing skills but I feel he is a great actor. Bollywood must tap his acting talent.
